Community Bulletin Board

Welcome to our Community Bulletin Board. This is a place where our community members can let our Hui know about goods and services that they offer. Please support these individuals and businesses. If you would like to add your business to this Bulletin Board please contact bigislandrph@gmail.com

In addition to being a proud member of the Big Island Rogue Pickleball Hui, Eoin Mast is a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch, and he is ready to help you with your wealth management needs.

Hello fellow Hui members:

My name is Vicki Hunter and I would like to tell you about Foundation Training and how it can help you stay on the court longer and feel better. This is a corrective practice that helps balance out the body and bring us into better alignment. It can be used for pain management as well as to improve  performance. Developed by Dr. Eric Goodman, it was originally designed to treat back pain, but has since evolved to have much broader application. I am a certified Level II instructor and would love to share this with the Hui. If there is interest, I can offer a group class (for a small donation that would go to the club). I am also available for private instruction. This work is helpful no matter your age or athletic ability. It is designed to be practiced consistently, but even one session can change how you think about your posture. There is no obligation; so even if you are only on Island for a limited time, you can come to a class.

Please feel free to look at the organization’s website: https://www.foundationtraining.com/

Kona Vocational Clinics are ongoing!

The next Kona Vocational clinic will be taking place on Saturday, December 10.   Kids ages 12-18 will learn basic construction skills and will be offered intern opportunities to learn various trades.  This year's project will be building sheds.  They will get hands on learning at every step from framing floors to roofing, siding, painting, etc.  You can see the flyer to the left upcoming dates and activities.

Kona Vocational is seeking sponsorships for these projects.  The sheds cost about $2,800 each.   Also, a donation of $25 will sponsor a child for one clinic.  Visit www.konavocational.com for more details.
