This Saturday's round robin will be a special one, celebrating Lea Carey's 50th birthday! Lea of course was our Hui's first president and the person most responsible not only for the Hui's existence, but who helped introduce the game of pickleball to so many of our members. She is such an amazing and beloved friend to so many of us, so it'll be a fun day of pickleball and celebration! While no one is required to bring anything (there will be plenty of food), everyone is welcome to bring a pot luck dish if they would like. Richard should be playing, injury permitting, and will be grilling on Saturday morning as well. As usual, check in is Saturday morning at 8:00 am with a scheduled start time of 8:30. Click the blue box above to sign up or click HERE. PLEASE SIGN UP AS SOON AS YOU KNOW YOU CAN ATTEND, ESPCIALLY THIS WEEK! We have a NEW OFFICIAL DEADLINE OF FRIDAY AT 4:00 PM. Registration may stay open longer, but it may not, it all depends on the numbers. Try to sign up earlier than the deadline because Friday is July 4! We hope to see a huge turnout for this special day!
Last Saturday's round robin included 36 players in 4 groups. You can see the full results by clicking HERE.
On Saturday, April 26, we had an MLP event scheduled - but for a variety of reasons, we couldn't make the numbers work and had a fun open play day instead, which we ended with a couple of spirited games of Mortimer. We will give Meh-jor League Pickleball another shot this summer.
